Arrested Development Executive Producer Brian Grazer confirmed during a recent interview that 17 episodes for Season 5 of the show are underway, sparking rumors on social media that a premier date and cast announcement will soon be made. 

"People are loyal to it, and we're going to do another 17 episodes. So stay tuned for Arrested Development," he said.

Arrested Development was first broadcasted in 2003 on Fox, running for three years on the major network. It was later broadcasted on Netflix in 2013, becoming one of internet streaming service's most popular shows. 

Earlier this year, Netflix official Ted Sarandos revealed that Season 5 was certain to be confirmed for the site. 

"I've been very optimistic about how it all comes together," Sarandos said. 

Although an official cast for the show has not been confirmed, Jason Bateman (Michael Bluth), Will Arnett (GOB Bluth), Jessica Walter (Lucille Bluth) and others are said to be confirmed for Season 5.
