GTX 980 Ti Release Date News: Nvidia has confirmed the GTX 980 Ti release date. According to reports, the new GTX 980 Ti will was allegedly move from June 2015 to September.

The reports contradict each other, but the upshot is that Nvidia  will release a GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card before the end of the year. Nvidia moved the release date of its GTX 980 Ti graphics card from the rumored June release to September. Some reports say November. Earlier rumors were saying that Nvidia cancelled the GTX 980 Ti release date.

Joffy S of GameDebate wrote that  the specs of GTX 980 Ti will be 50 percent faster than Titan Black as the new GM-200 processor-powered card competes against AMD's Radeon R9 390 series add-in-boards.

The GTX 980 Ti's GM200 GPU will be equipped with 3072 stream processors, 192 texture mapping units, 96 raster operations pipelines, 384-bit memory interface and 6GB of GDDR5 frame buffer.

It will probably cost about $800 to $1,000. The Asus GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition priced at US$640 is now available in the market while Nvidia's GTX 980 Ti graphics card releases by September this year.

CrossTheGap reported that the rumored cancellation of the GTX 980 Ti release date had to do with Nvidia's decision to work on a new graphics chip. The chip would be used in their next line-up of graphics cards.

There were earlier rumors suggesting that the GTX 980 Ti release date was delayed to 2016 amid rumors of production problems.

There has been no official confirmation from Nvidia about their upcoming GPUs.
