The new girl group The Ark released their debut song "The Light" and its music video on Friday.

Agency MusicK Entertainment released "The Light" on tihs day through various online music websites and the music video through their YouTube channel.

The teaser for the music video had been released on Wednesday and increased the excitement with its fresh pop melody and sentimental lyrics. Their debut song "The Light" is a contemporary R&B with a bit of hip hop.

The song is about someone who only lived for herself and suddenly realizes the happiness of living for someone else, being 'the light' for someone else. It also talks about the love between a parent and a child and the loyalty between two friends.

The Ark will hold their debut stage on Sunday on SBS's "Inkigayo."
