Vin Diesel Revved Up For ‘Fast And Furious 8’; Says It Will Symbolize Paul Walker's Way Of Thanking The Fans

Paul Walker promised "Fast And Furious 8" is happening and Vin Diesel would gladly oblige. The actor playing Dominic Toretto's role said that the next installment is actually "from Paul."

If "Fast and Furious 7" served as a tribute for the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel wants everyone to know that the "Fast And Furious 8" will be Paul's way of saying thanks.

"The fact that the world embraced it and allowed it to be Paul's legacy, it's just a beautiful thing," Diesel told MTV News.

"Paul used to say that ['Fast & Furious'] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when you're brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," Diesel said.

"So, if fate has it - fate, F8 - then you'll get it. 'Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul,'" he added.

Another of Paul Walker's "family," Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said he's more than thrilled to do the "Fast and Furious 8" film. He said, "I talked to Vin today - we had a nice discussion - and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for 'Furious 8,' we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, yes, but also in terms of story and character."

Now that the cast have expressed their desire to move on and do the next sequel, producer Neal Moritz told THR that the team would settle down first and the next chapter will be discussed in a few weeks.

"Honestly, we're just bathing in the success of this. We'll probably get together in a week or so to talk," he said.

"[The story] is going to have to be something enticing for all of us. It has to be as good as or better [than Furious 7]," he added.

Also, welcome news for fans is that the Walker legacy will live on as Paul's brother, Cody Walker will be back as well as a new character.

The producers were really grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film," a source told the Daily Mail. "It would be a tribute to Paul that Cody carries on the Walker name in the Fast and Furious movies," the Fast and Furious team said.
