While the "Gossip Girl" actress prioritizes the privacy of her family, Blake Lively was still unable to remain mum especially when asked about being mother to baby James.

In the latest issue of Allure magazine, the 27-year-old talked about the wonders of her new role. 

"I feel like I've figured out the most important thing to me and everything supports that," she told the publication.

Blake Lively's baby James was reportedly born on January 5 in Bedford, New York.

Ryan Reynolds' wife likewise said that being a mother affected her perspective on beauty.

"People are obsessed with beauty and youth and with looking and feeling young forever. But look at a woman who is granted that: She's trapped, because it's tragic to be young forever."

"Having a child makes you realize that we pass on for a reason. You think, I have to go, because it makes room for you," she continued.

The "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" actress is also a fan of breastfeeding. She admits that she even pumps milk while driving.

Blake Lively tied the knot with Ryan Reynolds in 2012 after meeting on the set of "Green Lantern." She announced her pregnancy in October last year through her lifestyle website Preserve.

As opposed to other Tinseltown celebrities who opt for major pregnancy announcements, the "Gossip Girl" star merely posted a photograph of her baby bump. The photo was snapped by her brother Eric.

She confessed to the magazine that the announcement wasn't easy saying, "It was a struggle, because we want to keep our privacy, but we also don't want our lives to be exploited by other people."

"So we did it simply; it was a quiet way, an elegant way."

Ryan Reynolds echoes his wife's sentiments about privacy.

When recently asked why they didn't want to reveal their baby yet to the public, he said that compromising their firstborn's privacy would be unfair.

Ryan Reynolds said that he and Blake Lively do not want baby James to grow up and have resentment towards her parents for spilling details of her life.
