Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have finally revealed their baby's name, and the celebrity couple have named their daughter James. During a guest appearance in the Today show, new dad Ryan Reynolds himself confirmed their baby girl's name.

"I didn't want to be the first guy screaming it out to the media, because as we know, little girls turn into teenage girls and little teenage girls sometimes scan through the archives and go, 'Why did you do that?'" Reynolds said.

The couple were first reluctant to tell the world what their daughter's name is, fueling rumors and speculations. 

Earlier, it was rumored that the "Gossip Girl" star had named her daughter Violet. But Reynolds himself denied these.

When the "Green Lantern" actor appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman," he also remained mum about his daughter's name. He did reveal though, that it was a name that came from their family, but that it was not Elaine, which is the name of Blake's mother.

For her part, Blake has opened up about what it's like to be a mom to baby James. As the cover girl for the May 2015 issue of Allure magazine, the actress shared how she has embraced her new role.

"I feel like I've figured out the most important thing to me," she revealed. "And everything supports that."

The young mother is exclusively breastfeeding her little one, calling it her current "full-time job."  She shared how she pumps milk whenever she is able. "I'm, like, driving down the road, pumping," she said.

The actress, who is currently starring in the movie "The Age of Adaline" also mused about life and death ."Having a child makes you realize that we pass on for a reason," she said. "You think, 'I have to go, because it makes room for you.'"

As for her child growing up in the limelight because of her celebrity parents, Blake said she believes her should have privacy. "She should have her privacy until she chooses not to have her privacy, just as I got to choose and my husband got to choose," Blake stated.
