Who is the 'Most Popular Foreign Singer' in China? JYJ's Kim Jun-su!

His singing voice has been described as "beautiful and unique."  He has legions of fans all around the world. He is a member of one of the most beloved K-Pop groups, JYJ. And, as if that weren't fair enough, he's good looking and has incredible star power.

With such envious qualities, it shouldn't be much of a surprise that Kim Jun-su was recently voted the "Most Popular Foreign Singer" by Top Chinese Music, a Beijing-based television entertainment program.

Kim received a whopping 63.7 percent of the votes, beating out pop sensations Justin Bieber, who placed second, and Madonna, who ranked eighth.

The show attributed part of Kim's success to his single "Thank U For," which was released on December 24.

Overall, Kim's popularity exploded in China in 2012. His debut album Tarantallegra and single "Uncommitted" ranked first on Yin Yue Tai, China's biggest music video chart. When Kim traveled to Shanghai in July 2012 to hold his concert, more than 1,000 fans and 20 media outlets greeted him at Pudong International Airport.

Kim also had a great year in his native South Korea. Interpark, a ticketing website, named him the most successful performing artist in 2012. He also successfully completed the "2012 XIA Ballad & Musical Concert with Orchestra" at the end of last year.
