Kate Middleton's due date is fast approaching and her brother-in-law Prince Harry will rush back to London from Australia to be by her side - but will he make it in time for when Kate Middleton gives birth to baby number 2?

According to Us Weekly, Prince William's younger brother Prince Harry is currently Australia, where he's serving a military attachment with the Australian Defence Force. However, he'll be able to escape this weekend to be with Prince William and Kate Middleton her due date for baby number 2, which falls on April 25.

"Prince Harry will briefly return to the U.K. this weekend following the Gallipoli commemorations in Turkey, to attend the London Marathon as Patron of the London Marathon Charitable Trust," Kensington Palace told the publication.

"Prince Harry's attendance at the London Marathon is a long-standing commitment," the Palace revealed, "but was dependent on the finalisation of his programme with the Australian Defence Force and confirmation of travel arrangements to and from Turkey."

Luckily, Kate Middleton's due date falls on the same weekend when Prince Harry was scheduled to be in London for the Marathon.

But if Kate Middleton doesn't give birth to baby number 2 on her due date, it's possible that Prince Harry won't be there to welcome his new niece (or nephew?).

According to Us Weekly, the Prince will have to leave the U.K. on Monday, April 27, to return to Australia. So if royal baby number 2 is stubborn, she may just miss her favorite redheaded uncle.

As we previously reported, Kate Middleton and Prince William's fourth wedding anniversary falls on April 29, which could easily coincide with baby number two's arrival.

According to USA Today, the barricades and "No Parking" signs have gone up around St. Mary's Hospital in London, signalling the official countdown to the birth of the second royal baby has begun. But there's one big difference from the countdown of Kate's first child, George Alexander Louis: the media circus is nowhere to be seen.

USA Today reports that there's "no sign of the forest of step-stools and camera equipment that impeded foot traffic for weeks in 2013."

This time around, the media isn't allowed to stake out in front of the hospital. The media is only allowed to assemble when the duchess has actually checked into the hospital.

Simon Perry, royal correspondent in London for People, told USA Today that the countdown is "certainly less hysterical - by now last time there were camera crews and photographers at the hospital. That hasn't happened and the noise about it is lower accordingly."

But loyal royal fans are still excited to see the new baby when it arrives, and bookkeepers are taking bets on the baby's gender and name.
