Johnny Manziel's contract with the Cleveland Browns is an offseason program, a new report reveals, mentioning that rumors claiming the team is trying to get rid of him are false.

The quarterback has released an apology statement pertaining to his contract with the Cleveland Browns and his time away from the National Football League (NFL).

"I owe private apologies to a lot of people that I disappointed but a very public one to the Browns organization and the fans that I let down. I take full responsibility for my actions and it's my intention to work very hard to regain everyone's trust and respect," he writes in a section of his statement.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole recently mentioned on Twitter that the Philadelphia Eagles are not interested in trading quarterback Sam Bradford for Johnny Manziel.

"I think the Eagles consider any and all ideas," he wrote to one Twitter user.

Johnny Manziel is rumored to continue his contract with the Cleveland Browns into the 2015 season, given that he was excluded from trade offers for Sam Bradford.

The quarterback was originally drafted for the NFL team in 2014.
