GTX 980 Ti Release Date News And Specs: Nvidia will reportedly launch GeForce GTX 980 Ti next month. There are also reports that Nvidia is working on the GeForce GTX 980 Metal.

According to KitGuru, Nvidia is rethinking plans for the add-in cards powered by the GM200 graphics processing unit. The magazine now expects the higher-end GeForce GTX 980 Ti to be released as early as in the middle of May. The magazine also reported that Nvidia is working on GeForce GTX 980 Metal.

Nvidia reportedly moved the GeForce GTX 980 Ti launch to May 16th - 26th. The specs of the GTX 980 Ti will be based on the code-named GM200 graphics chip. The GTX 980 Ti's GM200 GPU will be equipped with 3072 stream processors, 192 texture mapping units, 96 raster operations pipelines, 384-bit memory interface and 6GB of GDDR5 frame buffer.

 The GTX 980 Ti specs would be at least be 50 percent faster than the Titan Black, according to a report from GameDebate.

Joffy S of GameDebate wrote that  the specs of GTX 980 Ti will be 50 percent faster than Titan Black as the new GM-200 processor-powered card competes against AMD's Radeon R9 390 series add-in-boards.

The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is set to compete against the AMD's upcoming Radeon R9 390 series add-in-boards.

The GTX 980 Ti's GM200 GPU probably cost about $800 to $1,000. The Asus GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition priced at US$640 is now available in the market while Nvidia's GTX 980 Ti graphics card releases by September this year.

There has been no official confirmation from Nvidia about their upcoming GPUs.
