Kate Middleton is reportedly already four days delayed in the birth of royal baby number 2. According to The Daily Mail, she could be induced into labor anytime this week.

The Duchess of Cambridge was earlier reported to be due in the last week of April. But she has not given birth yet. Initially, the due date was supposed to be April 25 according to reports. But another report leaked that it was actually as early last week. In any case, St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London is still waiting for the Duchess to go into labor.

Reportedly, Kate has had a delayed birth with Prince George as well, with the firstborn prince three days late when he arrived. Still, Kensington Palace has insisted that they have not confirmed any due date according to The Daily Mail.

According to The Daily Telegraph, their insider has revealed that she could be induced any day now. "They will probably already have been in touch with Kate, and talked about which day which suit her best to go in and be induced if the baby doesn't arrive in the next couple of days," the source revealed.

In the meantime, Kensington Palace has been beefing up their security in preparation for Kate and William's new baby. According to Us Weekly, a former head of security at the palace shared that tighter security measures will be enforced in the days leading up to the birth. "Currently, William and Kate have a protection team, I would imagine, of somewhere in the region of about six and eight between them, with the resources calling upon additional security should they need it," Ken Wharfe said in an interview with the source cited above. "In amongst that team, you have an additional two people that will be solely responsible for the protection of George.

"[When the new baby arrives,] that security will be increased again by probably another one," Wharfe continued.
