Jill Duggar Endangers Baby's Life? Reality Star Criticized For Wrong Baby Wearing!

Jill Duggar has recently gone under fire for endangering her baby's life. According to Radar Online, the new mother "was shown in a photo holding her baby in a sling in a way that could be dangerous to her newborn."

The photo, which was posted in the Facebook page of the Duggar family, showed Jill holding baby Israel in a horizontal position in a baby sling. But the baby's head was too low and could prove to be a suffocation hazard. Soon enough,  comments flooded the page with criticisms on how the "19 Kids And Counting" star was holding her baby.

Several comments pointed out that the 23-year-old was a trained midwife and should have known the proper way to position a newborn in a sling.

"You would think after having 82 siblings and being a midwife she would know how to use a sling properly," one comment read.

Another comment explained the proper way of wearing a baby in a sling. "She needs to raise that sling up about a foot, he's supposed to be laying across her chest, not her waist," the comment read. "The problem is that the baby is horizontal in the carrier, potentially collapsing its airway - like laying in a hammock."

"The baby is also far too low in the carrier, which is bad for her c-sec incision and dangerous for baby (too low = too difficult for mama to monitor breathing)."

Baby Israel David, who is the first child of Jill Duggar and her husband Derrick Dillard, was born last Apr. 6, 2015. Photos of the baby were posted on the Dillard family website, as well as on Jill's official Instagram account.  Reportedly, Jill experienced a 70-hour labor in giving birth to her son.
