Los Angeles Lakers Chances Of Landing Kevin Love A Lot Higher Now? LaMarcus Aldridge, Marc Gasol, And DeAndre Jordan A Possibility Too?

Now that Kevin Love will be watching the rest of the 2015 NBA Playoffs in his home due to a dislocated shoulder, sources say that the Cavs forward is leaning on signing with the Los Angeles Lakers next season.

According to Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report, the Lakers should aim for anyone available this year. They have the money to spend plus they don't want to gamble in the 2016 NBA free agency since many teams will have a huge cap space at their disposal.

"I still think that Kevin Love is a great possibility for the Lakers. Opting out of Cleveland and becoming the centerpiece in Los Angeles," he said.

"Kevin Love loves L.A., his girlfriend lives in L.A., there are plenty of ties in Southern California and it makes tremendous sense for him to be the guy to come here," he added.

Ding also noted some free agents that the Lakers could go for in case Love returns to the Cavs or go for another team.

"If he should not come on board, the Lakers could try guys like Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol, Portland Trail Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge. Although it's a long shot, they could go for restricted free agents Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and Kawhi Leonard," he said.

"After that, they could go for guys like Greg Monroe, and Paul Millsap although they won't bring the same impact compared to the guys I have mentioned," he added.

Lastly, he was asked who among those guys will fit Byron Scott's system. He said, "the thing that Lakers need the most is a defensive presence. That would be the likes of Marc Gasol, or DeAndre Jordan as they would compliment the game of the young rookie Julius Randle once he returns to the line-up."
