2015 NFL Draft Results: Jonny Manziel Continues Contract With The Cleveland Browns, But Not As The Team’s Star Quarterback

Although Johnny Manziel is continuing his contract with the Cleveland Browns, he's doing so not as the star quarterback, but as second next to Josh McCown.

"I think that's fair to say," Pettine said on 92.3 The Fan on Monday, according to Fox Sports.

Johnny Manziel's contract with the Cleveland Browns is an offseason program, a new report reveals, mentioning that rumors claiming the team is trying to get rid of him are false.

The quarterback has released an apology statement pertaining to his contract with the Cleveland Browns and his time away from the National Football League (NFL).

"I owe private apologies to a lot of people that I disappointed but a very public one to the Browns organization and the fans that I let down. I take full responsibility for my actions and it's my intention to work very hard to regain everyone's trust and respect," he writes in a section of his statement.

"I look forward to seeing my teammates next week and focusing on football and my desire to be the best possible player, teammate, and man that I can be," he later adds.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole recently mentioned on Twitter that the Philadelphia Eagles were not interested in trading quarterback Sam Bradford for Johnny Manziel.

"I think the Eagles consider any and all ideas," he wrote to one Twitter user.
