iPod Touch 6 Release Date Expected In Fall? 5-Inch Screen With iOS 9 Installed Projected For Music Device

Following the release of the newest Apple Watch, Apple is expected to release a newer iPod Touch 6 in their yearly fall event.

As reported by Christian Today, the new music-playing gadget may be expected at the time the new iOS 9 may be introduced.

At the same time, the new iPods are expected to follow the new iPhones' design by having two designs, which is rumored to be called iPod Touch 6 and iPod Touch 6 Plus.

A possible 4.7-inch screen and another 5-inch screen display may be seen. Just like its phone counterparts, speculations continue as the new devices may be installed with the latest A8 chipset packed with a bigger camera with 8-megapixels of support and equipped with an optical image stabilization.

"One notion was that since the iPod 6 will use some of the same components as the iPhone 6, Apple opted not to put the former into production until it was finally able to catch up to demand for the latter," the website posted. "But with iPhone wait times having finally dropped to zero this month, the iPod touch 6th generation should be in production by now. And unless Cook is hiding something, it simply isn't."

As reported by VC Post, more speculations point out that the devices could be waterproof, something different from other Apple devices. The iPod Touch 6 may come in 32, 64 and 128 GB of storage and is rumored to have a $250 price tag come its release date.

"But looking at the present and even recent roster of music and media player devices, it would be nearly improbable to identify one that has the water-resistant feature, which makes the Apple iPod Touch 6th Generation truly unique," Master Herald reported.
