Yang Hyun Suk, affectionately called Papa YG by fans, sometimes makes promises he can't keep. Whether this is due to delays in debuts or comebacks, or scheduling conflicts, sometimes his groups can't release new music based on his initial plans.

Luckily for newbie Katie Kim, there's still plenty of room in the YG Family.

After promising a quick debut for "K-pop Star 4" winner Katie Kim, it looks like Yang Hyun Suk is beginning to make good on it. According to reports, Katie Kim will be the next YG artist to join Jinusean in a performance of their comeback single "Tell Me One More Time" on the May 7 episode of Inkigayo. This will be Kim's first appearance on stage as an official YG Entertainment artist.

Earlier this year, Yang Hyun Suk explained the importance of putting effort into a quick release for Katie Kim.

"Lee Hi, Akdong Musician and other 'K-Pop Star' contestants have made their debut with their first songs in just couple months after joining YG. For the sake of Katie Kim and all of her fans, we are going to hurry the process of releasing her new song." explained Suk (via Koreaboo).

"Katie Kim's first song release as a YG member is both equally important for her as well as for the company. [YG] is going to put in the best efforts alongside with Katie Kim to create her first debut song."

Joining Jinusean isn't the same as a solo release, but the performance on Inkigayo with K-pop veterans will likely give Katie Kim a chance to get better at her craft before debuting. 

Meanwhile, Jinusean is riding the waves of a successful comeback after over 11 years since their last single. Jinusean was surrounded by much support from their younger YG Family members including Tablo and Epik High. The group also performed "Tell Me One More Time" with several other YG Entertainment members including Jang Hanna, Akdong Musician, and 2NE1's Sandara Park.
