Is Teacher’s Proposal Idea The Top [VIDEO] Of 2015?

Two high school teachers at Chalmette High School just outside of New Orleans just got engaged and the proposal was quite an event.

Jonathan Holt decided to get the help of his lady love’s students before coming into the classroom himself to ask for his girlfriend, Iris Howorth’s hand in marriage.

The video may slowly but surely making its way to the top of the list when it comes to proposal videos of 2015. The clip has garnered more than 400,000 views after being uploaded only two days ago.

“This will go viral. This is so adorable. Brought a tear to my eye,” wrote YouTube user Hampe Mupp.

Fellow social media user ariellajasmine added, “This is great! Loved the ring pop idea and the band at the end. Congrats to you both and good luck for a long future together.”

The newly engaged teachers, who are both Teach for America alums, reportedly plan to get married this October, according to MTV.com.

The best part of the video begins at 4:10 when one of Howorth’s students busts out a ring pop and asks her to marry him. The teacher clearly looks confused, but the best part is when the rest of the students get up and continue to ask her to marry them.

After Howorth accepts Holt’s proposal, the couple is seen walking through the halls as the high school band plays “When The Saints Go Marching In.”

The recently uploaded YouTube video has brought a smile to many people’s faces.

“Watching this video is the happiest I’ve been in a while,” commented YouTube user spencecity99.
