Kate Middleton's baby girl might only be a few days old but she already managed to charm her grandfather, Prince Charles. Recently, the prince admitted that he was really hoping for a girl.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their second child on Saturday.

According to IB Times, Prince Charles couldn't stop gushing about his granddaughter as he said, "She is beautiful. I was hoping for a grand-daughter - someone to look after me when I am very old."

Kate Middleton's baby girl has been named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. She will be called Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Prince Charles already visited his granddaughter twice after her parents brought her out of St. Mary's Hospital in London. Prince William's family is expected to stay with Carole Middleton for most of the summer to help them adjust.

Prince Charles isn't the only one who finds the new royal member alluring. Prince Harry previously said that his niece is "absolutely beautiful" and that he "can't wait to meet her."

Prince Harry will be back in the U.K. this month after serving time with the Australian Defense force.

Speculations have been correct that the royal couple would name their daughter after the late Princess Diana. Previously, royal biographer Andrew Morton talked about the couple's decision.

"Close friends to William and Kate have told me that if it is a girl they want to name the baby after Diana," he said.

"They discussed girls' names before George was born and now they're hoping the next one is a girl so they can carry out their wish to honour William's mother."

"They're not too thrilled at the thought it will be shortened to Princess Di. But it won't change their minds," he added to the Sun.

A statement from the Kensington Palace said that the royal couple is thankful for all the well-wishes that they have been receiving.

"The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the messages of congratulations they have received from people all over the world," it daid.

"It means a great deal to them that so many people have celebrated the arrival of their new daughter," the statement added.
