Konami Assures Fans Of ‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’ Release Date; What You Need To Know From The Game

Following all the drama surrounding Hideo Kojima and Konami, the game director revealed that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" release date is still a go and will still be worked upon his team.

Despite his departure with the company, Kojima, however, confirmed that fans should be looking forward for the game claiming that he would finish the game before moving on with his own thing. He further revealed that it would be the best game he has ever created.

"I want to reassure fans that I am 100% involved and will continue working on 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' I'm determined to make it the greatest game I've directed to date," Kojima said, as reported by Movie Pilot. "Don't miss it!"

Konami, meanwhile, thanked their fans for the continued support and announced that "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is set to come out on Sept. 1, 2015.

"Thank you for your continued patronage of Konami products and services," Konami officially announced. "The latest title in the Metal Gear series, 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,' will be released as planned starting on Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 in North America, Latin America, and Europe, followed by Japan and Asia on Wednesday, September 2nd. Hideo Kojima will remain involved throughout."

Moving forward with the series, Konami revealed that they are planning to continue with the franchise even though Hideo Kojima initially created the game.

"As the next step in the series, Konami has already resolved to develop new 'Metal Gear,'" the company said.
