Carly Rae Jepsen Still Loves Justin Beiber; Covers March Issue of 'Seventeen' [PHOTO]

Canadian-born pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen owes a lot to Justin Beiber--and she thinks a lot of him too.

"Justin leads by example," Jepsen told Seventeen Magazine in the publication's March issue. "I love that he works hard and has fun. I was in Paris promoting my new album ‘Kiss' for three days with no time off. So I went out at four in the morning to go explore the entire city. I try to make moments happen that feel very special and memorable because that's exactly how Justin does it."

Although Jepsen's gushing over Bieber may sound more saccharine than her songs, the teen icon played more than a small role in the wave of success Jepsen experienced over the last year.

In December of 2011 it was Beiber that launched Jepsen into superstardom when he tweeted, "Call me maybe by Carly Rae Jepson is possibly the catchiest song I've ever heard lol."

Apparently, one tweet from the Biebs is all it takes. "Call Me Maybe" rocketed from relative obscurity to the top of the pop charts in early 2012. The song cracked the Billboard Top 40 that March, just weeks after Beiber joined Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale and Big Time Rush, lip-synching the song in a YouTube clip.

The song went onto become one of the biggest pop hits of the year.

Jepsen also toured around the world in 2012, opening for Bieber. He also sings on a duet called "Beautiful" on Jepsen's album "Kiss."

Jepsen, for her part, has never been shy about crediting Beiber's role in her success.

"I never get tired of being asked about him," she told Cosmopolitan Magazine back in January of 2012. "I'm forever indebted to him for the lovely boost that he's given me."

Although for anyone wondering if there are romantic possibilities for Jepsen and Beiber, think again says the singer. She is happily dating singer Matthew Koma.

"When you meet the right person, you're just like, ‘Wow! I'm having the busiest year of my life and somehow I've met an amazing person who has been a grounding force'" she said. "I don't think anything can get in the way if you both really want it badly."

And for Jepsen, whose next stop is the Grammies on February 10, where she is up for two awards including Song of the Year, she undoubtedly has a message for the show's presenters--call me maybe.
