New 'Five Nights At Freddy's 4' Theory Suggests Nightmare Animatronics Countdown To Bite Of 87

Over the past few weeks, fans have gotten a glimpse of what is to come in the next "Five Nights at Freddy's."

As to be expected, it all seems like a nightmare.

Creator Scott Cawthon released yet another teaser for "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" that looks to be a terrifying nightmare version of Chica. With the now iconic question, "Was it me," another fan has discovered more evidence that the Bite of 87 will be the highlight of the new game.

"First the Freddy teaser was released, 10 days later Bonnie, 9 days later Chica. 8 days later Foxy? 7 days later G. Freddy? And it made me think about something. Because it seems to take out a day between each teaser, what if this was a countdown for something bigger or something special," asked Joshua F. on YouTube.

His question was followed up with an answer from another user with a new theory:

"10, 9, 8, 7. Notice how the first digits are 1987. The bite of 87. So basically a week until the next teaser," commented Blueblur X.

When dealing with Scott Cawthon's "Five Nights at Freddy's" series, it's hard to look at anything as just coincidence. In fact, this recently caused some chaos at a family pizza diner in Virginia. According to a report from Kotaku, fans began to call the restaurant based on the theory that the numbers hidden in the website's source code could be entered in Google maps and turn up the "real" restaurant.

Cawthon eventually had to deny these rumors and urge fans to stop calling the restaurant. Needless to say, finding Cawthon's hints and devising theories about them is part of the fun that has made "Five Nights at Freddy's" so successful.

Nothing regarding The Bite of 87 is certain, but the "Five Nights at Freddy's 4" release date is. Fans and YouTube gamers alike will spend some more time with Freddy by October 31.
