iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Download Revealed To Be Possible Following Reports Of iOS 9 Release

With iOS 9's release date is rumored to happen around the corner, developers now claim that a download for the iOS 8.3 jailbreak would be available very soon as well.

In a report by iDigital Times, with a rumored iOS 9 "rootless" security feature, this could lead to devs working on a jailbreak for the latest Apple operating system for download.

A report by 9 to 5 Mac revealed that the new "rootless" feature could possibly make newer OS jailbreak a difficult task. It was stated in the report that "rootless" is "a 'huge,' kernel-level feature for both OS X and iOS. To prevent malware, increase the safety of extensions, and preserve the security of sensitive data, Rootless will prevent even administrative-level users from being able to access certain protected files on Apple devices."

In the same report, Evaders team member Nikias Bassen revealed, however, that even with the new root feature, more restrictions with regard to system function would be restricted.

"With rootless they would lock down the system so far that even if you would gain root you can't do these things anymore," said Bassen. "So even if your user has the highest possible privileges (i.e. normally being root) then the kernel would still have control over what is allowed and what not."

He added in the report that this kind of system is "hard to say" if it could be broken.

In addition to that, the report by iDigital Times claimed that jailbreak download for iOS 8.3 could be possible after seeing some vulnerabilities in the iOS 8.4 beta patch, which is believed to give a green light for the jailbreak.

Release date for the iOS 8.3 jailbreak download is still unknown but Master Herald claimed that it would happen after a new Apple operating system would be introduced.
