'Gilmore Girls' Reunion Confirmed? Movie Reportedly In The Works As Well? Statement Released!

"Gilmore Girls" could finally be getting the reunion that fans have been clamoring for, and there might even be a movie in the works.

Ahead of the "Gilmore Girls" reunion panel at the ATX Television Festival, Scott Patterson, who played Luke Danes on the show has been doing promotional rounds of the show, and he has hinted at a possible "Gilmore Girls reunion.

Time magazine reported that Patterson revealed in a "Gilmore Girls" podcast where he was questioned about a reboot of the TV show. " I will say this, there are talks going on at the moment," the actor revealed.

When he was pressed for more details, the actor became evasive about  "I can't really go into any details, but there is some activity," Patterson said. "I'm hopeful, and I'm in."

"I think it would be a big event, and I think it would be a great fan celebration," he continued.

In a past interview with The Huffington Post,  Patterson has also hinted that the "Gilmore Girls" reunion show is being talked about. He said that there have been ongoing "conversations."

"I don't want to give the fans false hope," he said in the interview. "I will say there have been some conversations."

What's more, the actor suggested that the talks also involve "maybe even a movie."

Patterson also mentioned in the podcast that he felt that fans deserve a closure after the show kept them hanging when it ended.  "This is what the fans deserve," he said. "They do deserve a resolution."

"They waited seven years for a wedding they never got," he added. "That's a bitter pill to swallow if you're a lifelong fan."

"I think there's a lot of territory left unexplored that we could explore in a limited series or a TV movie or feature film, whatever that may be," Patterson said. "I think it really just comes down to the script. I think everybody would jump on board."
