"Gangnam Style" has sold over a million copies in the U.K.

The Official Charts Company revealed that Psy's "Gangnam Style" has become the 129th track to sell over a million copies in the U.K. It is also the first million seller by an Asian artist in the U.K as well.

A U.K official commented, "This is a great achievement for Psy. This is proof that 'Gangnam Style' is a worldwide phenomenon. This shows that K-Pop is spreading around the world."

"Gangnam Style" was first seen on the Official SIngles Chart Top 40 last September at number 37. It later became number 3 and then number 1 on September 30.

It was also the biggest selling single in 2012 for the U.K. 

"Gangnam Style" ranked number 1 in 27 countries, showing its international popularity.

Many foreign fans believed that Psy was an 'overnight success', but it is quite the opposite. Long time fans know that Psy has been doing music in Korea for 12 years. "

"Gangnam Style" as first introduced through YouTube in July and later became the first video to break a billion views. It is currently at 1.3 billion views.
