Although it is not yet official, leaked specs of the Xiaomi Mi 5 have been revealed and it has fanboys and girls all excited to see what the upcoming phone has in store.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the upcoming Xiaomi flagship is about to set fans at the edge of their seats with specs that can be tagged as out of this world.

Starting with a Snapdragon 820 chipset, the upcoming phone is expected to have a fingerprint sensor that would focus more on ultrasound technology rather than optics, which could give the scanning device a much stable sensor, which is usually known to be resilient against dust and water.

The said chipset is also combined with a 4GB of RAM and an internal storage that would either have 16 or 64 GB. Its RAM is noticeably higher than the previous generation, which only had 3GB of RAM.

Looking at the screen, the Xiaomi Mi 5 is tagged to have a 5.5-inch QHD display screen that has an aluminum frame that is 5.1 mm thin.

In accordance to all the advancements the phone is equipped with, the source pointed out that the Xiaomi Mi 5 may have the latest USB Type C connector equipped.

Talking about its camera, rumors claim that the Mi 5 may have a 16-megapixel camera installed with optical image stabilization feature. For its front camera, an 8-megapixel lens is being considered.

In addition to it all, GSM Arena also pointed out that Xiaomi might join in the bandwagon of having "plus" or bigger versions of their flagship models, as a possible 6-inch Mi 5 Plus may also be expected.

Release date of the Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to hit shelves in November.
