Josh Duggar’s Molestation Scandal [UPDATE]: Did Wife Anna And Sister Jill Know?

New details reveal Jill Duggar's wedding may have been the first clue that the Duggar clan had a problem with Josh: with 20 people invited to be a part of the wedding, no one from Josh Duggar's family was invited. But did Josh's wife Anna Duggar know about his molestation scandal too? Find out the details here.

According to the Inquisitr, when Jill Duggar married Derick Dillard in June of last year, Josh wasn't asked to be a groomsman.

"We all thought it was odd that basically everyone of Josh's family served in some position but he was left out. But no one made a big deal about it. Now it's making more sense why they wouldn't want him up there, standing at the altar next to them," an insider told the publication.

Additionally, days before any report of Josh's molestation scandal - and before police reports circulated that he molested five underage girls when he was a teenager - Josh's wife Anna Duggar shared a quote on forgiveness on her Instagram account.

"The three most beautiful and liberating words in the English language are these: 'I forgive you.' - Lon Solomon," the image said.

According to the Inquisitr, it seems very likely that Anna Duggar knew about Josh's molestation charges.

"I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn't know why he was sharing it. For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was - even very difficult past mistakes," she said, the publication reports.

Anna was able to overlook his "past mistakes" and marry him anyway. The couple wed on September 26, 2008 and have three children together. Anna is currently pregnant with their fourth child, which will be their second daughter.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," Josh Duggar said in a post on Facebook.

"I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling."

Josh Duggar's parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who are named in the police report, also spoke out Thursday.

"Back 12 years ago our family went through one of the most difficult times of our lives. When Josh was a young teenager, he made some very bad mistakes and we were shocked. We had tried to teach him right from wrong," they said on Facebook.

"That dark and difficult time caused us to seek God like never before. Even though we would never choose to go through something so terrible, each one of our family members drew closer to God."

On May 22, 2015, TLC suspended airing their reality series, "19 Kids and Counting."
