Google has officially announced the latest version of the Android operating system during the recently concluded Google I/O developer conference 2015.

Referred to as "Android M," the newest version is set to improve the experience of the user, as well as polishing a few aspects that weren't addressed in its predecessor, Android L, also known as Android Lollipop.

Anandtech reported that some of the major areas that the developers were aimed to changing, are the following, 

Permissions - The new version changes the system covering this area by breaking down the user permissions into different and specific categories. Aside from that, the apps will be prompting the user for his/her persmission only during the times when an access to a certain feature is required. This simplifies the process and clarifies with the user whatever it is that the permission is trying to do.

Web Views - as known to users, the current version prompts a whole new web page everytime a link gets clicked, regardless if they are inside an app or not. For the Android M, a new improvement names the Chrome Custom Tabs alows the users to click on a link and open a whole new web browser that will be running on top of whatever application they are currently using. Aside from this, users can also adjust their settings. Meaning they can choose a site and instruct the system to open it with a new tab or browser every time it gets clicked. This setting will not be changed until the user does so.

Aside from those written above, there are many other improvements for the latest Android development, the Android M update.

In other news, Google I/O 2015 has also revealed numerous improvements in other platforms. One of them includes "Jump."
