New Queen Album Will Be Put On Hold Because Of Adam Lambert; Singer Would Focus On His Solo Career First

Reports of a new album from Queen has been denied after Adam Lambert reportedly is preparing to step back on his solo career that gave delays to the song writing process and recording of the band.

In a report by Ultimate Classic Rock, Brian May was interviewed and revealed that Queen would be on a break for now as they wait for Lambert to finish with his own stuff before heading back in the studio.

"[A new album] is not coming along, no we're not doing that," May said in an interview conducted by Gig Wise. "At the moment we're watching with interest while Adam pursues his solo career. And it seems to be going very well. He's an amazing, amazing artist, and there's no getting away from that. It's very interesting to watch him develop."

Furthermore, May continued talking about Lambert and still claimed that fans should still expect Queen this year, as they are set to do some shows in fall.

"We're very conscious that he doesn't want to be with us all the time," he continued. "That would be so wrong for us to just envelop him and never let him go off and do anything else. So it's very important that his own career is progressing now. We're looking forward to being back together in September to do Rock In Rio, and some dates in Argentina and Venezuela, I believe."

The rest of the group respects the decision of their now vocalist, who gave the group an opportunity to tour together after losing Freddie Mercury.

"Adam is the first person we've encountered who can do all the Queen catalogue without blinking," May said in an NME report caliming how Adam Lambert is the perfect person for their frontman job opening. "He is a gift from God."

"He's incredibly musical, and we certainly take anything he says quite seriously."
