Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Vs. Sony Xperia Z3+; What Could The Top Phones In The Market Has To Offer?

One of the most awaited phones for the year following the release of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is its Active version and Sony's Xperia Z3+, which wowed a lot of techies with its specs.

In a report by GSM Arena, an in depth comparison of the two phones could be viewed to see which phone could deliver the most power and be more flexible.

With both phones virtually dust and water proof, both devices are expected to surprise fans with its features.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has an IP67 certification that makes the device dust and water resistant up to 1 meter and 30 minutes. It is also MIL-STD-810G certified making it salt, dust, humidity, rain, vibration, solar radiation, transport and thermal shock resistant.

On the other hand, the Sony Xperia Z3+ is IP68 certified that makes it dust proof and water resistant over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes.

With its display size, the S6 Active has a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors that supports 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution and is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

Meanwhile, the Xperia Z3+ has a slightly bigger 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, support for 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution and has a Triluminos display that is coated with a scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating.

With its platform, the S6 Active could run on the latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with an Exynos 7420 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Mali-T760 GPU.

The Sony Xperia Z3+ also runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, has a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has a non-removable Li-Ion 3500 mAh battery, while the Sony Xperia Z3+ has a non-removable Li-Ion 2930 mAh battery.
