VIXX's Ken Impresses With 'Anthem' Music Video

VIXX's cute main vocalist Ken is bringing fangirls to tears in the music video for "Anthem" from his musical Chess.

Fans of VIXX are well aware of Ken's vocal prowess. "Anthem" particularly showcases Ken's lower range and powerful notes. The richness of Ken's voice is incredibly compelling and the last note break hearts with how beautiful it sounds. Like a country's national anthem, the lyrics of "Anthem" talk about a person's pride for his or her country and the song gives off an air of magnificence.

Ken stars as the Russian chess grandmaster Anatoly Karpov. In addition to Ken, Karpov will also be played by SHINee's Key, B1A4's CNU, and 2AM's Jo Kwon; the four idols trading off the role depending on their schedules. They star alongside Lee Gun Myung and Shin Sung Woo.

Chess tells the story of Cold-War era chess championship battle between Karpov and American Freddie Trumper. The music for Chess was written by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, both former ABBA members. Andersson and Ulvaeus are also known for the production Mamma Mia! Lyrics for the show are by Tim Rice, who also penned for Jesus Christ Superstar and The Lion King.

The musical will play from June 19 to July 19 at Sejong Cultural Center Grand Theater.
