Hugh Hefner Fires Back At Holly Madison; Calls Her Move An 'Attempt To Stay In The Spotight'

Hugh Hefner and ex Holly Madison are currently in a feud after the former Playboy housemate slammed Hefner in her new book titled "Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny."

According to Fox News, Madison wrote her experience in the Playboy Mansion to be a really bad one, even calling it a "nightmare."

"Everyone thinks that the infamous metal gate was meant to keep people out," an excerpt from Madison's book read. "But I grew to feel it was meant to lock me in."

Moreso, the former Playboy Playmate claimed that Hefner would offer her drugs and manipulate the women surrounding him. The 35-year-old also went into detail and explained Hugh's alleged tactics to get women. Fans saw her book to be more of an attack rather than a memoir.

After news about Hugh Hefner's alleged mistreatment to Holly Madison and the rest of the Playboy Playmates surfaced the internet, Hefner released a statement denying the rumors and said that his former girlfriend is just trying to be in the spotlight again.

"Over the course of my life I've had more than my fair share of romantic relationships with wonderful women," Hefner said to FOX411, as quoted by the source above. "Many move on to live happy, healthy, and productive lives and I'm pleased to say remain dear friends today. Sadly, there are a few who have chosen to rewrite history in an attempt to stay in the spotlight."

"I guess, as the old saying goes: You can't win 'em all," he added.

Hugh Hefner and Holly Madison were stars of the successful reality series, "Girls Next Door." After their separation and Holly's departure from the mansion, Hefner went on to be involved in other relationships with the existing Playmates. He is currently married to Playmate and Playboy Centerfold, Crystal Harris.
