Las Vegas Shooting Suspect Names as Ammar Harris, Still at Large

Police in Las Vegas have named a suspect in the shooting that left three people dead on the Las Vegas Strip on February 23.

26-year-old Ammar Harris is being sought by police after they found a black SUV believed to have been used as a getaway car.

After shooting and killing the aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr the gunmen sped away causing a car accident that claimed the lives of three people and injured others.

Police Captain Chris Jones said, "investigators are working around the clock to sort through evidence and find Ammar Harris."

Harris was arrested last year on charges of kidnapping, and sexual assault. Details about that case are unknown.

Lawyers in Las Vegas Vicki Greco and Robert Beckett held a press conference where Cherry's father spoke about his son.

"My son was a good boy," Kenneth Cherry Sr. told reporters. But Cherry was not the only victim.

When the car Cherry was driving was fired upon stray bullets were fired into a taxicab driving along the same part of the road. The driver Michael Boldon and his passenger Sarah Sutton-Wasmund were both killed.

Rumors about why Cherry was targeted are saying that he was involved with gangs. ""My son was a victim just like the two people in that taxi," Cherry Sr. said. "Trouble found him. The people in the taxicab, trouble found them."

According to ABC News Police think the shooting was a result of an argument that took place at the valet station of the Aria resort and casino.
