When it comes to teaching kids how to live life, raccoons are very similar to humans, apparently.

A video of a mother raccoon teaching her baby how to climb a tree has gone viral after being uploaded on YouTube last week.

The kit eventually gets the hang of it and is able to move up the tree, thanks to his devoted mother.

“I cheered a little too loud once the kit figured it out,” commented YouTube user Nick Hare.

Fellow social media user Mark Strong wrote, “I just melted into the floor. That is so freakin cute!”

The clip has garnered more than 260,000 views and counting along with nearly 2,000 likes.

The video, which was uploaded by YouTube user Jeffrey Reid after he saw the parenting moment in his backyard, has touched people in different ways.

“This made me reconsider my whole life. I’ll be better. Thank you raccoon,” commented YouTube user Ord Junk.

Social media user fatiha Chalabi wrote, “best video i have even seen. It proves that animals also learn and not only act on instinct.”
