Sofia Vergara’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star Vandalized Over Frozen Eggs And Ex Fiance Nick Loeb Drama

Sofia Vergara has been the target of protesters and vandalism recently. The "Modern Family" actress' Hollywood walk of Fame star was vandalized, as well as her fiance Joe Manganiello's "Magic Mike XXL" premiere interrupted by protesters angry over her frozen eggs and drama with ex-fiance Nick Loeb.

According to Fox News, TMZ reports that Sofia Vergara's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was vandalized with "#embryodefense."

TMZ also posted photos of protesters at the "Magic Mike XXL" premiere in Hollywood, Calif., on June 25. They swarmed around the Chinese Theatre, holding up signs with slogans like "Persons not property," "Let your daughters live," and "Unfreeze your daughters, unfreeze your heart."

The actress, who plays Gloria on "Modern Family," and her fiance Joe Manganiello were safely in the theatre while the protesters shouted outside.

The signs were in response to Vergara's ongoing legal drama with ex-fiancé Nick Loeb, according to Fox News. When they were a couple, Vergara frozen two of her embryos. Now, Loeb wants to use those eggs with a surrogate to have children of his own and Sofia is not allowing it. As TMZ reported, Loeb is suing Sofia, claiming she's destroying life by not going forward.

In an interview with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM channel, Vergara said Loeb has no case since he signed a contract.

"There is a contract that he can't do anything," she said. "We wrote what we wanted at the time. It's not like a contract [where] they give [it to] you right there the moment they're gonna take the eggs out -- no, they give you this in advance. You see it, you review it, and not only that, we did it two times. ... Two times and suddenly you want to change your mind?"

"What judge is going to say OK?" she added. "Even if it's life or not life, it's not what he signed at the moment. You know, you should have thought about all of that."

She continued, "more than a mother, [a child] needs a loving relationship of parents that you know, get along, that don't hate each other," she says."I don't hate him but obviously he has a problem with me. ... I wouldn't imagine anyone saying to bring to the world kids that already have everything set up wrong for them. It'd be so selfish."

Her lawyer Fred Silberberg told ET in April that Loeb's case has "no merit."

"Vergara has never suggested that she wished to have the embryos destroyed," Silberberg said. "She has always maintained that they be kept frozen, a fact of which Loeb and his counsel have always been aware, despite Loeb's statements to the contrary."
