Prince Charming will finally be a star after Disney has closed a deal for a live-action story focusing on him.

According to a report on The Hollywood Reporter, the movie won't be like the Disney fairytales that most kids grew up with. Instead, it will focus on the man that has always been there for the princesses but was never given much attention in the classic fairytales like "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty" and "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."

Also, even though the upcoming movie will stem from classic tales, the approach of the story will reportedly be modern.

Another revelation about the new Disney live-action film was that although the story would be finally touch Prince Charming's life, it won't reportedly be about him.

As reported by Variety, the plot might focus on the spare rather than the heir. A source told Variety "the point of view isn't that of the prince himself but of his brother." The brother, in particular, may reportedly be someone who hasn't lived up to the family image or gotten beyond his brother's shadow.

Entertainment Weekly cited that David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Tripp Vinson were on board for producing the movie. Matt Fogel, who assisted on working on "Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs," wrote the script for the prince-centric film. The Independent also reported that Alex Young of Mandeville, the same firm producing the Emma Watson starrer "Beauty and the Beast," will also produce the Prince Charming film.

There is no word yet who may star in the new live-action film. A director has not been identified as well.

The news about a Prince Charming live-action movie came at a time when Disney and various other film companies were working on their own versions of live-action flicks from classic tales. According to Coming Soon Net, live-action movies set to come out in the coming years are "The Jungle Book" and the sequel to "Alice in Wonderland" in 2016 and "Beauty and the Beast" in 2017.
