Thor 3 2017 Casting and Plot Rumors: Thor: Ragnarok will start shooting in 2016.

Kenneth Branagh directed the first Thor film. There were rumors he would helm the Thor 3. Thor 3: Ragnarok isn't scheduled to hit theaters for another 2 years but theories emerged about the character of  Thanos and his role in apocalyptic doings in Asgard.

In "Avengers: Age of Ultron," Thanos gathered all the Infinity gems and might be started a war against the gods of Asgrad by himself, possibly with the fire giant, Surtur.

Thor 3: Ragnarok plot theories are filling in the gap in the years we have to wait for the next installment in the franchise. What might happen in Asgard during their dreaded apocalypse?

Kevin Feige said answers are on their way.

Speculations on who might die in the third instalment of the Thor franchise is running rampant, like a dark pool. Not the same dark pool that will engulf the world when Thor: Ragnarok comes to theaters in 2017, the kind where you bet in the office.

Although there have been and probably won't be, any official announcements on who dies, fans and pundits are speculating that the upcoming film might include the death of Loki or Thor. According to Movie Pilot, "Thor: Ragnarok" will show the end of days. Asgard will be destroyed by a conflagration called "Surtur." Norse mythology says the old world ended when the Fire Giants, led by Surtur/ Surtr, waged war against the gods in Asgard and Lif and Lifthrasir, two humans, had to repopulate the universe.

Captain America 3 may ignite Marvel's Civil War. 

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed to Collider that Thor and Captain America will both be back in their solo movies for a third time. He told Collider "Cap has already been announced, so that's up first. That's in a further stage. Thor is being outlined right now, so both in the works."

Thor 3, which will star Chris Hemsworth as the Legendary Nordic God of Thunder and Tom Hiddleston as Loki, still doesn't have a director.

The third Thor movie is being written by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost.
