'Pokken Tournament' Arrives In Japan Along With Blaziken Roster Introduction Video: Support Pokemon Details Updated Amidst Wii U Release Date Speculations!

The arcade fighting game "Pokken Tournament" has finally arrived in Japan, and here's what Pokemon fans should know about the new venture.

Currently out in arcades in Japan, a number of new stages have been announced for "Pokken Tournament" during a recent live stream event showcasing the game. In particular, Blaziken has been confirmed for the roster of Pokemon players can use.

As shown in the introduction video, Blaziken's Burst Attack involves his Mega Evolution.

In addition, a promotion is running concurrent to the "Pokken Tournament," according to Serebii.

"If you play the game using a BANA Passport from today until July 31, you will gain access to the special Support Pokemon duo announced in the livestream on July 3, Whimsicott and Jirachi," wrote Serebii.

Reportedly, Jirachi uses Wish to increase the player's Burst Gauge and Whimsicott uses Substitute to give you protection against the opponent.

And while non-Japan-based fans will surely be disappointed by the Japanese release, most theorists predict the game will have a release date for the Nintendo Wii U.

"Outside of Japan, video game arcades are more or less dead, so releasing 'Pokken Tournament' over there is a smart idea," wrote PrimaGames contributor Christopher Buffa.

"Its limited release will give all parties involved the max concentration of players. In addition, they'll be able to see what works and what doesn't in preparation for the console edition. Don't look at Japanese exclusivity as a snub. Instead, consider it focus testing for the inevitable global launch."
