Floyd Mayweather Jr. Confirmed Looking For An Easy Fight To End Career; Might See Keith Thurman As Potential Threat

Undefeated boxer Keith Thurman is not stopping until he gets his much coveted fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., who is poised to fight one last time on September 12.

The undefeated Mayweather Jr. has yet to announce who he is going to fight on September but the favorites are Karim Mayfield or Andre Berto. That leaves Thurman and Amir Khan at the bottom of the list of fighters Money is interested to fight.

According to Thurman, here's why it would be smart for Mayweather to take on him.

"If Floyd wants to take advantage, he should fight me now while I'm still learning," Thurman told BoxingScene.com.  "But I would do it and fight him next in 8 weeks. I'm young. They used to fight each other every other week in the old days. I like my paycheck, I'll go ahead and take another paycheck. He's about to retire, I'm not retiring anytime soon. "

He said that he is not scared at all to lose in the hands of Mayweather and put a blemish to his undefeated record.

"I enjoy the fight game," stated Thurman. "I have a 0, I'm not afraid to let it go. If you can beat me, beat me. My Momma used to beat me, My Daddy used to beat me so c'mon, I'm not scared."

Meanwhile, Floyd Mayweather Sr. confirmed that his son is indeed looking for two easy fights before he calls it quits. However, that's not because his son is scared of losing, but he is getting tired of the sport at this point of his career.

"My honest opinion, if he feels that way, he should get on out of the game," Mayweather Sr. said via Opening Round.

"Anybody's body, 20 years, anybody's body gets tired - and it's been every day of 20 years, and longer, for my son," he added.

Could this mean Floyd Mayweather Jr. sees Keith Thurman as a potential threat?
