MC Mong To Perform 1st Concert In 6 Years This September

MC Mong will be staging his first solo concert in six years in Seoul this September, reports The Korea Herald.

The solo concert titled "The Happiest Time in My Life" will be held at the Lehzon Comics V-Hall in Seogyodong in Seoul on two weekend stretches: September 4 to 6, and September 11 to 13.

The solo concert will be a milestone for the hip-hop artist following his controversial comeback last year with the full-length album "Miss Me or Diss Me."

While it ranked high in the charts, the artist continued to receive significant flak from his critics because he remains to not have served in the army.

The comeback drew in negative criticisms as many had not forgotten the controversy surrounding his alleged attempt to dodge the mandatory military draft in South Korea, but this announced solo concert seeks to reunite the artist with his most loyal fans.

"The concert will be a time where MC Mong will meet with fans in six years," an official from the label said. "He is preparing for a memorable time to share with his fans that have waited for a long time."

Still, MC Mong's most ardent critics remain vocal in forums.

"Wonder who'd actually go?" "He's slowly crawling his way back out. So frustrating listening to Melon's charts because his songs are always on there and I have to manually take it out," according to translations from Netizenbuzz.

Are you looking forward to the MC Mong concert?
