Daredevil TV Series Casting News Update: Netflix confirmed that Daredevil Season 2 will be coming out some time next year. The producers of Daredevil also confirmed that season 2 will focus on the Punisher.

"It's time to let the devil out. Marvel's Daredevil is here to clean up the streets of Hell's Kitchen, New York," reads the official synopsis.

"Lawyer by day, street-level hero by night, Matt Murdock is on a mission to make his city a better place against an underground terror within the city."

Jon Bernthal from "The Walking Dead," plays Frank Castle also known as Punisher in 'Daredevil.'

French actress Elodie Yung was cast as Elektra in Netflix's new comic superhero series "Daredevil." Jennifer Garner previously played the character in 2003's "Daredevil" and the 2005 spinoff "Elektra."

The French actress will play as the sai-wielding assassin Elektra in Daredevil Season 2.

According to the Marvel character announcement, Electra is "a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock's past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle."

Elektra is the daughter of a Greek ambassador in the comics. She met Murdock while they were in college and stayed together until Elektra's father was killed. Elektra is a mysterious woman from Murdock's past, who's dangerous and exotic ways may be too much for Murdock.

This isn't the first time Yung played a ninja. The actress played Jinx in 2013's "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." She also played Miriam Wu, Lisbeth Salander's friend and lover, in 2011's "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."

Elodie Yung was also featured in the film "G.I. Joe: Retaliation."

Yung was born in Paris. Her father is Cambodian and her mother is French. She graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and also has a Master Degree in Law from the University of Paris. She has practiced karate for over ten years.

Yung started on TV when she was 20 years old. She debuted as female lead Tsu in the 2004 film "Les fils du vent." Yung played the gang lord Tao in "District 13: Ultimatum."

Yung returned to TV for the successful police series, Les Bleus seasons 1-3, with Clémentine Célarié. In 2013, Yung played ninja Jinx in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. She will appear in the upcoming film Gods of Egypt as the goddess Hathor.

Daredevil returns to Netflix next year for the its second season.
