Mark Cuban Lends Plane To Chicago Bulls: Bull's Plane Breaks Down And The Dallas Maverick Owner Saves The Day

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban lent the Chicago Bulls a plane to fly after the Bulls had mid-air plane troubles.

While on their way to Indianapolis, to play the Pacers, the team was forced to turn back due a problem with the plan that's unspecified, ESPN-Chicago reports. The team would borrow the Chicago Blackhawks plane to get to the game. When it was time to fly to San Antonio and play the Spurs, somebody who's team doesn't share the same stadium like the Blackhawks, saved the day.

Mark Cuban lent them a plane to borrow for Tuesday, but had it returned after Wednesday's game at San Antonio.

Bulls Forward Lou Amundson tweeted his appreciation to Cuban for the plane.

"Our plane broke, @mcuban loaned us his, nice guy...," Amundson tweeted in the early hours of Thursday morning. Cuban later retweeted it and said it wasn't a big deal.

The Bulls' plane is expected to be fixed and used for the rest of the season, ESPN-Chicago reports.

Mark Cuban owns the Dallas Mavericks who won the 2011 NBA Championship. He is known to be an outspoken owner that's not afraid of the spotlight.

The Bulls did not take a coach-flight, but for players who travel on a regular-basis, rest is important. A coach flight won't provide the comfort a private plan would. Luckily, Cuban was willing to help out another NBA franchise in need.

No word on if Chicago players had to tally up money for gas.
