Taylor Swift Apologizes To Nicki Minaj For Twitter Feud; Rapper Accepts!

It looks like all's well that ends well between superstars Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, as People reported. On Thursday, Swift apologized to Minaj using the channel where it all began.

"I thought I was being called out," read the "Bad Blood" singer's tweet on Thursday morning. "I missed the point, I misunderstood, then misspoke. I'm sorry, Nicki."

In response, the 32-year-old rapper quickly replied. "That means so much Taylor, thank you," she said. Moreso, Minaj even told a fan who was excited over the "reconciliation" that she's "always loved" Swift.

On Tuesday, the two artists exchanged words on Twitter over the MTV VMA nominations. The "Anaconda" singer felt that her video for the said song didn't garner a nomination for video of the year because it didn't feature enough women "with very slim bodies".

Minaj didn't namedrop or made reference to a specific artist or video, but Swift allegedly assumed that the tweet was about her.

What followed was an intense interaction over the microblogging site between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj, so much so that several other artists piped in to give their two cents.

The 25-year-old Swift's friend and fellow video of the year nominee Ed Sheeran even weighed in on the issue.

"I think everyone knows that Taylor has done nothing wrong in that situation," The Daily Telegraph quoted Sheeran as saying. "She didn't nominate herself for the awards. She just made some good videos, and people think they're good."

Sheeran apparently said that Minaj's argument was "redundant", but when called out, he tweeted that his comments were "taken out of context".

Before Taylor Swift's apology, Nicki Minaj took to Instagram to clarify her initial tweets about the VMA nominations and said that her remarks had "nothing to do with" Swift or even Beyoncé, who was also nominated in the same category.

"Nothing to do with any of the women, but everything to do with a system that doesn't credit black women for their contributions to pop culture as freely/quickly as they reward others," Minaj wrote. "We are huge trendsetters, not second class citizens that get thrown crumbs. This isn't anger. This is #information. It's all love to MTV."
