Passengers spoke with the New York Post after the incident,

"There was a noise. You could feel the vibration but I didn't know what happened," said a passenger from the Air India flight.

Fox 5  News was able to obtain audio recordings of the pilot from the Jet Blue flight speaking with the ground crew.

"The plane got jerked around pretty good and I don't know what happened if someone just hit us or what?" the pilot said.

JFK's ground crew replied, "the report we're getting right now is the tow bar snapped upon pushback that's the probably the jolt you felt."

"No, no, no, no, no, that happened five or six minutes ago we just got hit or something happened," the pilot replied.

According to the FAA the two planes were not under air traffic control when they collided.  The FAA told Fox 5 News that they are investigating the accident.
