Today a brand new episode of "Snow White with the Red Hair" began streaming online. Episode four entitled "From the Small Hand, A Burgeoning Concerto Resonates" was streamed to fans outside of Japan courtesy of Funimation. Synopsis:

This week's episode begins with the arrival of the Royal Herbalist exam. Zen is worried for Shirayuki, who actually seems excited for the test.

Shirayuki runs into the current Court Herbalist Ryu while he prepares a medicinal compound. He blushes and then runs off. Zen shows up and asks her if she's nervous. Shirayuki assures him and begins the test. Later, Zen finds Shirayuki in one of the castle's herb gardens. They are however locked inside the garden together by a mysterious figure.

Zen wants to get out to avoid controversy. Shirayuki observes the garden and notices that the water is sweet due to one Yura plant being planted in wrong. The water is poisoning the rest of the herbs below it through the aqueducts. Shirayuki asks Zen to help her replant them correctly.

It takes all night but later the head court herbalist Chief Garak finds them. She tells Zen he could hire Shirayuki immediately if he wanted. He refuses, knowing Shirayuki won't accept it. Chief Garak accepts Shirayuki and appoints her as the new apprentice. She also appoints Ryu as her new supervisor.

Shirayuki begins her day as Ryu's new apprentice. A court person comes looking for stomach medicine, but refuses to take it when he realizes Ryu is working. Shirayuki defends him. Ryu is shocked when she calls him foolish. Later, Ryu and Zen chat about Shirayuki. Zen tells him just to talk to her to see if she's angry.

Chief Garak gives Shirayuki Zen's medical history. She discovers that he's suffered after being administered poison in order to build up immunity. Shirayuki cries while reading it. Zen comforts her. Afterward, Shirayuki comforts Ryu. They show everyone the flowers that remind Ryu of Shirayuki's red hair.
