Mark Zuckerberg will be a dad soon. His wife, Priscilla Chan, is pregnant.

As reported by E! Online, the couple made a joint heartfelt post on Facebook about their baby and to let other struggling couples that they are not alone.

"Priscilla and I have some exciting news: we're expecting a baby girl!" Mark Zuckerberg posted.

Zuckerberg even shared how their baby girl was already like him in some way.

"Cilla and our child are both healthy, I'm extremely excited to meet her and our dog Beast has no idea what's coming," he wrote. "In our ultrasound, she even gave me a thumbs up 'like' with her hand, so I'm already convinced she takes after me."

"We're looking forward to welcoming her into the world and sharing more soon when she's ready to come out and meet everyone!" he added.

Amid the happy news, Zuckerberg also revealed that he and his wife Priscilla have been struggling for years to become parents.

"We've been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way," he revealed.

"It's a lonely experience," he noted "Most people don't discuss miscarriages because you worry your problems will distance you or reflect upon you -- as if you're defective or did something to cause this. So you struggle on your own."

But after talking to friends, Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan realized they were not alone in the battle and they hope that opening up about their experience will help other couples as well.

"We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well," he said.

Their announcement was attached with the picture of the couple along with their dog, Beast. Outpouring of congratulations immediately flooded the post.

This is the first child for the couple, who has been married for three years now. Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan got married in 2012 after nine years of dating as told in a report on The Washington Post. The wedding was done in secret and the Facebook founder announced it simply by updating his civil status on the social media platform.
