The Chicago Fire defeated FC Dallas 2-0 on Sunday during a Week 24 match of the ongoing Major League Soccer tournament. 

The Illinois-based team, which lost 1-0 to the Columbus Crew on July 15, is ranked #9 in the MLS Eastern Conference. Their Texas-based counterpart, coming out of a 2-1 win over the DC United on July 18, is ranked #2 in their region of the league.
