Super Mid-Range Phones From Sony May Be Released In August, Will This Save Sony From Their Slump?

Sony's Super Mid-Range phones may be the company's saving grace.

Sony isn't the only company feeling the heat when it comes to smartphone sales, but they aren't one to back down so easily. Even after the division's sales dropped 16.3 percent over the past year, Sony's New Super Mid-Range phones is hopefully the answer to their problems.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and Sony Xperia M5 are the newest flagship devices that will be perfect for those who love to take pictures and selfies.

According to Engadget, the new smartphones will be focusing on imaging. The C5 ultra offers a whopping 13-megapixel Exmor RS cameras for both front and main cameras. Apart from high megapixel count, the front-facing camera has a 22m wide-angle lens and a front-facing flash.

This phone is much bigger than the M5 and has a 6-inch 1080p display, a 1.7 octa-core processor, and a 2,930mAh battery as well.

The M5, on the other hand, runs on a 2GHz MediaTek X10 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, a 21 .5-megapixel Exmoor RS sensor main camera, and a 13-megapixel sensor at the front. The battery is also good for two days at 2,600 mAh. Also, the phone is waterproof and dustproof as well.

While each of the phones have their own set of features, they both have a sleek design, Android 5.0 Lollipop, and a microSD slot.

Sony recently released an ad showing off the features of the Sony Xperia M5. The video showed the amazing quality of the pictures the smartphone took. The 0.25-second Hybrid Autofocus is a highlight since it can take clearer pictures whether or not the object is moving.

According to Android Community, there is no official announcement on the pricing of Sony's Super Mid-Range phones, but they are expected to be launched in August.
