It has been weeks since Louis Tomlinson daddy news surfaced and now the One Direction singer's bandmate, Liam Payne, officially confirmed the news. In an interview with Magic Radio's Jo Parkerson, he said that he was shocked when he first found out.

Despite his initial reaction about Louis Tomlinson's daddy news, the 21-year-old said that his bandmate is excited.

"He's very excited with what's going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes. He's taking it very seriously."

Louis Tomlinson is expecting his first child with Los Angeles-based stylist Briana Jungwirth whom he briefly went out with last May. The 23-year-old dated Eleanor Calder for almost four years before calling they called it quits last March.

The fashion blogger has reportedly accepted Louis Tomlinson's daddy news and remains friends with her former beau. While the Doncaster-born crooner tries to keep things private, he recently talked about how One Direction adjusted to Zayn Malik's absence.

As reported by Xpose.ie, he told Key 103 radio station, "Don't get me wrong it was a different dynamic at first and I think that's just another challenge and another adjustment that we've had to make."

He went on to say that their latest single, "Drag Me Down," is an evidence that they managed to work things out.

"I think we've done that and I think we've proved that with this single. We always made a habit of sharing out the vocals anyway so we just said to ourselves we've got to make this work and I think we did."

He also expressed interest on becoming a judge for "The X Factor" if not for the band's busy schedule.

"I'd love to judge but as it stands we're working on this next record and we've got to sort that out, so until I've done that I'll wait and see."
