Dennis Rodman Reveals North Korean Secret: Kim Jong Un, Wife Have Baby Daughter, But No Heir To North Korean Seat Of Leadership

Dennis Rodman revealed the North Korean secret that Kim Jong Un has a daughter.

In a Tuesday interview with The Sun, Dennis Rodman claimed that Kim has a daughter. If this is true, Rodman may have revealed a major state secret.

Rodman told The Sun, "[Ri Sol Ju] kept talking about their beautiful baby daughter." Ri Sol Ju is Kim's wife.

Rumors have circulated that the couple had a baby girl, but no potential heirs to Kim Jong Un's regime have been confirmed.

North Korea Leadership Watch editor Michael Madden told the Washington Free Beacon that the North Korean government would have definitely announced the child's birth - if it had been a boy. This suggests the North Korean regime doesn't currently have an heir to take over for Kim Jong Un in the event that something happens to him.

Dennis Rodman added in the interview that Ri Sol Ju seemed "very elegant and quite tall for a Korean - maybe 5ft. 5in." to The Sun.

The woman's height is interesting in light of a recent UN report that found that more than a quarter of North Korean children suffer from stunted growth as a result of malnutrition. On average, North Korean women tend to be about 3 inches shorter than South Korean women, according to the studies.

Rodman shocked the public when he visited Kim Jong Un in North Korea in February. After the trip, Rodman angered many when he spoke favorably of the dictator. He said, "I love [Kim]. The guy's really awesome."

Although Rodman's social visit seemed to go well, the North Korean regime hasn't improved its view of the United States. Kim's regime recently posted propaganda videos on YouTube that feature depictions of military attacks on the U.S.

Huffington Post reported that earlier in March, United Nations diplomats voted to approve new sanctions on North Korea.

NK Army General Kang Pyo Yong responded by telling a crowd protesting the sanctions in North Korea, "Intercontinental ballistic missiles and various other missiles, which have already set their striking targets, are now armed with lighter, smaller and diversified nuclear warheads and are placed on a standby status."

"When we shell Washington, which is the stronghold of evils, ... [it] will be engulfed in a sea of fire."

However, Rodman claims that Kim doesn't want to engage in war with the U.S. or neighbor South Korea, although Kim was overseeing live-fire missile testing this week and a 30-year armistice with S. Korea is soon ending.

Regardless of Kim's militaristic intentions, Rodman is looking forward to his next visit. He told The Sun, "I connected with Kim. He's as cool as h--l. He invited me back to North Korea for a holiday in August for six days. I'm definitely going - I can't wait. I'll be staying in the royal palace."

After he let slip that Kim Jong Un has daughter, a secret that hasn't been confirmed by the notoriously strict North Korean state-run media, it's unclear whether Rodman will be welcome back at all.
