Recent news reports have suggested that Kate Middleton has been limiting Prince William's social engagements.

According to a report by Mail Online, a number of friends of the Royal couple, particularly those of the Duke, have noticed his absence in several occasions.

It was reportedly because of the request of the 33-year-old mother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

It was further narrated that per her request, all of their spare time must be spent with their family, especially with their children, rather than attending some functions.

There was even news saying that Kate Middleton could be the one declining invitations for her husband's behalf.

"His friends understand, of course, but they are really missing him. And they suspect he is missing them too," a close friend shared.

"William used to be allowed to go to things on his own and he'd always excuse Kate's absence, but she's asked him to avoid going to any social functions for the time being - with or without her," the source added.

With this development, several friends close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge believe that it might just taint her reputation.

"He used to be allowed to go to things on his own but now it's rather embarrassing. He's turning down invitations without any real excuse," a friend disclosed.

Such friend continued by saying, "Everyone knows it's because Kate won't let him out of her sight. It's not good for Kate's reputation with his friends."

Meanwhile, Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that Kate Middleton asked Prince William to quit from his post as a pilot following news about the death threats hurled at him by the terrorist group ISIS.

Quoting the cover story of "Globe" magazine, the site dished that she pleaded that he would just take a job away from his present responsibility as a helicopter pilot for his safety.
